How to Schedule an Appointment
You can schedule an appointment directly online by clicking the “Schedule” button in the upper right-hand corner of this page or scrolling down if on a mobile device. If you encounter any issues, don't worry; just text or call me at (907) 250-8789. Once in the portal and you are scheduling for online counseling, you don’t need to specify “Telehealth” when scheduling because you will not be able to select Telehealth (that is only available if I use the portal’s platform for sessions and I don’t find it user friendly or reliable). Instead, select “Main Office” (if prompted).
The telehealth link is the same every time we meet and can be accessed through any web browser: https://doxy.me/lawsoncounseling

If you’ve never done therapy online before, it’s completely normal to feel unsure about what it’s actually like. In most ways, it’s very similar to in-person therapy—except you’re meeting from the comfort of your own space. We connect through a secure video platform, and sessions are private and confidential, just like a traditional office setting.
A lot of people are surprised by how quickly it starts to feel natural. You can show up in a space where you feel comfortable, and that often makes it easier to open up.
We’ll still do the same kind of work—understanding what’s going on, identifying patterns, and helping you move toward feeling better and more in control.
If you’re wondering whether online therapy can really work, the short answer is yes—it’s been shown to be just as effective for many concerns, and for some people, even more convenient and consistent.
If you have questions or want to see if it’s a good fit, you’re always welcome to reach out via the contact form below or via email at lisalawsonlpa@gmail.com

INSURANCE & BILLING
I am a preferred provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield and OPTUM (Providence Hospital) TriWest, and in the process of becoming in-network with Aetna (4/15/2026). I accept ALL insurance and offer courtesy billing to your insurance for individual counseling. You will receive an invoice with remaining co-pay and/or deductible cost. Couples counseling is cash pay only paired with a Superbill you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Notice for Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate if you do not have insurance or choosing to not use insurance. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate of total costs before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Feel free to call me at (907) 250-8789 with any questions!
